Are your family and pets at risk from ticks?

December 27, 2016

Pest-Nett, Brisbane's Paralysis Tick control specialists have some tips on how to help you keep your family and pets tick free this summer.

Paralysis Ticks (Ixodes holocyclus) are back in numbers in South East Queensland.

Here are a few tips on minimising tick risk for your family and pets.

1) Cut all long grass and vegetation on your property.

2) Remove children's toys from the yard when not in use.

3) Pet advice is best sought from a qualified vet and implemented as advised.

4) We find that the most effective removal of Ticks is best achieved through a Integrated Pest Management approach, ie work with your pest man to achieve best results.
